Photographer-animal painter Eric Cheng was in the midst of a flock of sardines, driven skillful predator – Atlantic sailing – which uses a unique method of hunting.

These photos can be seen high annual feeding with the fastest inhabitant of the ocean – the Atlantic sailboat and its extraction – Sardinia

In these pictures, made in late January, shows the Atlantic sailboat, which uses its long nose to collect cannot sardines in a “ball of profit.

This act was caught at a depth of 54 km off the coast of Isla Mueres on Mexico coast. Renowned photographer animalist 34-year old Eric Cheng from San Francisco had to calculate the time until a split second in time to photograph everything in detail.

Living by a hasty road, these animals aren’t willing to take any chances when it comes to getting across securely. Instead, a rabbit and a stoat are cleverly using an underground network of drains to make it to the other side. The cute animals scuttle from one side of the road to the other and pop out of drains in order to avoid being hit by traffic.

Unusual Underground Map

Animals on the Underground is a collection of over 20 animal characters made using only lines, stations and interchange symbols on the London Underground map, created by illustrator Paul Middlewick in 1987. In 2003, the concept was used in a poster campaign by advertising agency McCann-Erickson to promote the London Zoo. They have also appeared on London Television and in press articles around the world including The Daily Mail and The Guardian.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) ran a fund raising poster campaign on the London Underground in April 2008. The posters used the Seal, Elephant and Whale images to raise awareness of seal hunting in Canada, the ivory trade and whale hunting respectively.

Swimming is biologically propelled motion through a liquid medium. Swimming has evolved a number of times in a range of organisms ranging from arthropods to fish to molluscs. But, sometimes nature can be strange and funny, and to give swiming power to animals that don’t bellong to water! Bellow you can see funny examples of that animals swiming.

Swimming pig

On the beaches of Big Major Spot Island, the Bahamas, a family of brown and pink boars and piglets live freely on the sandy white beaches and swim in the tropical surf. This photograph was taken near a small key famous for the “swimming pigs.” A colony of pigs lives on the key, and they often swim near visiting boats.

Swimming elephant

Nazroo, a mahout (elephant driver), poses for a portrait while taking his elephant, Rajan, out for a swim in front of Radha Nagar Beach in Havelock, Andaman Islands. Rajan is one of the few elephants in Havelock that can swim, so when he is not dragging timber in the forest he is used as a tourist attraction. The relationship between the mahout and his elephant usually lasts for their entire lives, creating an extremely strong tie between the animal and the human being.

Swimming horses

Horses paddle with their legs, with most of the motion from the knee down, and they are quite buoyant. Most enjoy swimming! “Most horses see no reason to enter the ocean–there’s nothing to eat, they can’t drink the water, and they’d have a hard time escaping predators. However, in warm areas with small waves, some horses can actually enjoy ocean swimming.

Swimming tiger

This is a shot of Odin, a six year old tiger at Six Flags Marine World Africa. Unlike most cats, Odin loves to swim. This shot was taken by my ten year old daughter during her visit to the park. Odin is about ten feet long, was taught to swim by his trainer and by watching another tiger. He is gulping a chunk of raw meat tossed in the water in this photo, that is called motivation–tiger style.

Swimming deer

If you startled a deer, you might not expect it to jump into the nearest pond and submerge itself for minutes. But that is exactly what two species of mouse-deer in Asia do when confronted by predators, scientists have found. There are around 10 species of mouse-deer, which are also called ‘chevrotains’. All belong to the ancient ruminant family Tragulidae, which split some 50 million years ago from other ruminants, the group that went on to evolve into cattle, goats, sheep, deer and antelope.

The ancient Egyptians mummified animals as well as humans. Animals of all kinds were important to the Ancient Egyptians, and featured in the daily secular and religious lives of farmers, craftsmen, priests and rulers. Animals were reared mainly for food, whilst others were kept as pets. The bodies of sacred animals and some pets were often mummified and given elaborate burials.
A queen’s pet gazelle was readied for eternity with the same lavish care as a member of the royal family. In fine, blue-trimmed bandages and a custom-made wooden coffin, it accompanied its owner to the grave in about 945 B.C. Egyptian Museum, Cairo

Lovingly preserved, a hunting dog whose bandages fell off long ago likely belonged to a pharaoh. As a royal pet, it “would have been fed nibbly bits and spoiled rotten,” says Salima Ikram. When it died, it was interred in a specially prepared tomb in the Valley of the Kings.

The first moments for a baby giraffe

Holidaymakers on safari breaks are increasingly used to seeing spectacular sights as expert tour guides take them deep into the heart of the animal kingdom. But few tourists have been fortunate enough to witness the heart-warming nature show caught on camera in the Masai Mara last week – the first, nervous seconds of a newly born giraffe’s life.
Tottering precariously on spindly legs, the baby giraffe was spotted just a few minutes after its birth – so soon that it was still coated in amniotic fluid.

Clearly perplexed by its change of circumstances, the calf struggled to drag itself upright as its mother watched it with anxious eyes. But shortly afterwards, it seemed to have mastered the difficult skill of standing, sheltering between its mum’s hind legs and taking stock of its surroundings.

The startling images were captured by award-winning photographer Paul Goldstein, who was guiding a safari group for tour company Exodus when he stumbled upon this post-natal drama.

Me and my twisted flying twin

Humans are known to have atleast seven similar faces in the world. Personally I haven’t seen an evidence for that but yes I have come across many super identical twins and I am sure so have you. But have you ever noticed animals and their twins. Probably not because most of the mammals actually give birth to more than one baby and then as they grow, most look more or less the same. However here is one very interesting aspect of the similar faces in two different animals that somehow share same family traits , look identical but are yet different . Doesn’t make sense? Mice and Bat

Both thee mammals bear no resemblance in their family line however look pretty same as you may notice here. While mice are small and swift land creatures that bite off your goodies and empty your food stores, bats are flying mammals that cling onto the roofs and trees and will never invade your boundaries. But even with their dissimilar characteristics, bats appear to be winged twins of mice. These mice looking bats with their eras especially matching that of a mice are also known as mouse eared bats.

Squirrels and Flying squirrels

These belong to the same family of rodents but different tribe of squirrels. The flying squirrels are not capable of having sustained flights, instead they glide between trees upto 90 meters. Their wings are actually a furry parachute-like membrane that stretches from wrist to ankle.

Lizards and Flying lizard

Lizards are reptiles that spend their lives crawling on earth and trees. However the flying lizard is a type of gliding agamid lizard from Southeast Asia that has scaly membrane between the forelegs and hindlegs that enable it to glide from one tree to another to as far as 60m. What is interesting is that it only comes to ground when a female is ready to lay her eggs. It places the eggs in a small hole dug by burying its head into the soil, guards them for 24 hours and then leaves them to never return back again.

Fish and Flying fish

We all know about the fishes and their marine lives but the flying fish has a life above the waters as well. Not that they can soar high and fly distances but these species of oceanic fishes of the family Exocoetidae carry special pectoral fins that help them to glide above the water quite near to the surface though , covering atleast 400m of distance.

In the picture you will see a picture that is obviously difficult to get. Here the eagle is hunting a flock of bats. It is a great picture where the eagle is frozen in time exactly when it is about to grab hold of its meal. Its wing span shows how big a bird it is and how powerful it can be.

The bats come out in large numbers for a lot of reasons and it is usually for feeding. Flying ants can be one of the reasons the bats are circling in any place. Their large numbers make them a easy target and predatory birds like the eagle in the picture will take full advantage of this. The flock in the picture has at least a hundred bats and are probably looking for a meal unaware that they could be one.
